- Florida’s recent poor weather has impacted supplies of round, Roma, cherry, and grape tomatoes
- Rain continued this week and forecast cooler temperatures (Evening lows 40s) this weekend will continue to affect an already light volume crop
- Smaller sizes of round tomatoes (6x7s) are scarce
- Expect historically low supplies the month of February due to bloom drops and fewer acres planted
- Mexico volumes are light from last week’s cold weather/frost conditions
- Increased demand from East Coast buyers has kept markets higher
- New crops in Culiacan have good quality
- Improved weather in Culiacan, Mexico this week (low 90s) will spur fruit growth for end of January harvest
- Grape and Cherry varieties continue to experience demand exceeds supply with elevated markets
- Expect continued higher markets over the next week
