• Santa Maria strawberries are currently exhibiting strong quality, firm texture, and sweet flavor
• Sizing is variable, but color is mainly red with minimal white shoulders/white tips
• A low-pressure system could bring ½” – ¾” of rain to the area from Thursday, November 14 to Friday, November 15
• Temperatures will cool significantly throughout the week with highs in the upper 50°s to low 60°s and lows in the mid-30°s to low 40°s
• The lower temperatures will slow the ripening process and likely lead to lighter color in the coming days
• Markon inspectors will continue monitoring weather and quality in the area and will update further as needed
