Markon First Crop (MFC) Strawberries are available in Watsonville, California.

The Watsonville/Salinas strawberry growing region is in full production. Supplies are plentiful and quality is strong; harvesting crews are culling varying levels of wind scarring and odd-shaped fruit. The majority of MFC orders are now shipping from Watsonville, although a small amount will still come from Santa Maria where quality is also great.

The rainy season is essentially over and forecasts are calling for mostly cool, overcast conditions through the month of May with brief periods of warming. This ideal weather will keep fruit firm and sweet; size will range from medium to large. Once we see more consistent sunshine and higher temperatures, flavor profile will improve.
