Should be fresh-looking and well-colored. Avoid watercress that appears wilted, bruised, or yellowed.

Storage Handling:

Short-term storage recommendation (7 days or less)

  • 90-98% relative humidity
14 to 21 days.

Watercress is susceptible to wilting due to moisture loss. Maintain proper humidity.

Yellowing and slimy texture can occur from temperature abuse and rough handling. Store properly.

Usage Ideas:

  • Toss peppery watercress with sliced green grapes, slivered almonds, and house-made croutons; drizzle with creamy purple basil dressing.
  • Stuff chicken breasts with watercress, sun-dried tomatoes, and goat cheese; grill and slice.
