Green bell pepper markets remain depressed after the holiday season.  Red bell supply in Mexico will increase in January.

Green Bells

• Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials (ESS) Green Bell Peppers are available

• Mexican supplies are plentiful
  • New shade houses are expected to start production this week; jumbo availability will increase
  • Quality is excellent
• South Florida production is rebounding from the slow holiday season; favorable weather is expected this week

• • Quality is good
  • All sizes are available
  • Prices may increase slightly

Red Bells

• MFC and ESS Red Bell Peppers are available
• Mexican harvests are increasing in the Sonora and Sinaloa regions
  • All sizes are available
  • Quality is good
• The East Coast does not produce a significant volume of colored peppers
• Markets are expected to ease over the next few weeks
