California’s citrus supplies are extremely limited as rain continues to impact production in the San Joaquin Valley. Expect markets to continue climbing.

• Production was limited at the start of the week; orchards are struggling to dry out after last weekend’s rain
• More rain is forecast for tomorrow, December 29
• Growers cannot harvest fruit when orchards are wet
  • If picked when wet, the rind will break down and discoloration will develop
  • Mud and standing water may limit crews’ ability to get equipment into orchards
• Quality is good
