Blueberry supplies are facing quality challenges. Raspberry volume is starting to fall, while blackberries stocks are expected to remain sufficient.
Blueberries
- South American imports from Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, and Mexico are arriving on both coasts
- Quality is average: soft fruit, decay, and mold clusters have been reported
- Expect declining markets and plentiful supplies over the next 7-10 days; quality will improve
Blackberries
- Growers are transition between the U.S. and Central Mexican growing regions
- Santa Maria, California is in peak production, but volume will start declining next week
- Supplies will gradually increase in Oxnard, California during the next two weeks
- Mexico yields will increase week over week, reaching peak production in late November
- Expect adequate supplies and steady markets over the next two to three weeks
Raspberries
- Growers are transition between the U.S. and Central Mexican growing regions
- The Northern California season is winding down faster than expected
- All regions in California and Canada are past peak production
- Central Mexico will hit peak volume over the next two to three weeks
- Expect tight supplies and strong markets over the next two to three weeks
