Heavy rain is forecast for the next few days in South Texas growing regions.

• New crop onions are fresh-run, meaning they come straight from the fields into production
• Growers will require extra time to allow onions to dry and to be suitable for shipment
• Sheds will make efforts to pack ahead today in order to have supply for the orders set to load Thursday, April 6 through Saturday, April 8
• Expect availability to be affected and loading delays the remainder of the week
