• Quality ranges from fair to good ; increased discoloration, mechanical damage, wind burn, insect damage. and early breakdown are being reported
• Lower temperatures and increased winds are slowing plant growth in both the Arizona/California desert regions and Salinas Valley
• Sporadic rain is forecast to move through the Salinas Valley over the next two weeks, causing concerns for quality issues and muddy fields
• Expect elevated markets through November as suppliers transition from Salinas to the desert growing region
