Tomato growing regions in Florida and Mexico are impacted by poor weather this week. Markets remain firm. Markon First Crop (MFC) Tomatoes are available.

- Expect snug supplies for the month of February due to bloom drops combined with normal light acreage planted for winter
- Mexican growers are battling cold weather this week which is slowing production in new growing region of Sinaloa
- Larger sizes (4×5 Rounds and XL Romas) are most abundant; quality is very good
- Mexico planted less round tomatoes (more Romas) this season which could cause stronger than normal markets in February
- The East Mexico and Baja seasons are winding down
- The elevated Grape tomato market is slowing falling with West Mexico season (crossing in Nogales) starting up
- Expect slightly higher round and Roma prices over the next week as growing regions rebound from cold weather conditions
