Round
- East Coast production is extremely limited due to past hurricanes
- South Florida is starting to harvest post-hurricane tomato plantings
- The Central Florida season will start next week
- Florida is expecting temperatures as low as 40 degrees next weekend (January 10 and 11)
- Production has commenced in Culiacan, Mexico and will increase to full capacity over the next two weeks
- Overall demand is weak
- Quality is very good
- Harvesting is winding down in Central Mexico and Baja; quality is fair
- Prices are expected to continue falling
Roma
- East Coast stocks are increasing as production begins in South and Central Florida
- Supplies will ramp up in Culiacan, Mexico over the next few weeks
- New crop quality is very good
- Production is winding down in Jalisco
- Expect prices to decrease over the next two weeks
Grape & Cherry Varieties
- South Florida volume has risen as new crop production is underway
- Harvests will finish up in Baja and Central Mexico over the next 10 days; quality is average
- Supplies are increasing in Western Mexico
- Expect lower prices over the next two weeks
